We do not have accomodation, but there are a number of independent B&Bs available in and around the village if you would like to explore the surrounding area and our beautiful countryside.
There is a large free car park to the rear of the property for our customers, with space for approximately 8 vehicles.
Limited on-street parking is available, but this is shared with residents. Your consideration here is welcomed and appreciated.
The Plough is a very old building, so unfortunately there are some challenges with accessibility.
From the rear car park, access to the building is solid flooring on one level. Our bar area is on the same level and can be accessed by wheelchair. We are able to allocate tables in this area for those with accessability needs.
Do note however, we do not have a disabled access toilet in the building. Our toilets are located up two steps from the bar area, which cannot be ramped.
Wheelchair access to the restaurant area from the bar area is limited; there are 4 steps between which cannot be ramped.
Please let us know any requirements in advance so we may allocate you the best table for your needs.
Whilst we follow best practice at all times, our dishes are created in an environment where allergens are prepared, stored and cooked. This makes it unsuitable for those with severe allergies, as we are unable to guarantee the menu will be completely allergen free.
We do not have a vegetarian menu, but can prepare one ahead of time with at least 48 hours notice. Please state at the time of booking.
We are unable to offer lactose-free options.
If you are making a group booking, it is your responsibility to make us aware of any dietary requirements for all guests in your group.
We require at least 48 hour’s notice of a cancellation or change of booking time.
Let us know about a change or cancellation.
We make a card pre-authorisation of £20 per person when you place your booking. We only charge this if there are any cancellations or amendments to bookings (in part or whole) with less than 48 hours notice.
This charge reflects the cost of food, drink and staffing that we incur with short-notice changes. However, if we are able to successfully allocate your booking others, we are able to offer a refund or change to a new date.
Modifications to booking dates and times are subject to availability.
For full details, see our terms.
We advise you aim to arrive slightly earlier than your restaurant sitting time. Our bar, snug and outdoor areas are open for any pre-dinner drinks.
We book our restaurant in sittings to provide the best experience: we have one chef, and all our food is made to order. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may impact the experience of other guests, and we reserve the right to treat this as a late cancellation.
There is no dress code. Our pub restaurant is a relaxed, comfortable place to unwind and enjoy time with others.
You are welcome to sit and enjoy a drink at the bar, or our cosy snug next to the log fire, or in our outdoor areas (weather permitting!). We also offer a selection of bar snacks.
For our restaurant, we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid dissapointment.
We may not always be able to cater for all dietary requirements for walk-in guests.
Although we do not serve a children’s menu, we welcome children of all ages to our comfortable pub restaurant.
All children must remain supervised by a responsible adult at all times, ensuring there are no disruptions to our other guests.
We do have high-chairs available, but no baby-changing facility.
We’re blessed with some fantastic walks and countryside to explore with your four-legged companion.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you in our bar and snug area, and we can provide water and some treats from the bar.
Guide and assistance dogs are allowed in all areas.
